These are some of the strangest stories from the world of games. Some people get addicted to playing video games and thus they create these kinds of situations. It is hard to turn off the computer once you get started. Take a peek!

1. Two Toddlers Were Found in the Street While Their Dad was Playing Video Games


A 31- one father of two Timothy Hausaman was playing a video game while his children were wandering around the apartment complex in which they lived near a busy road. A neighbor was watching the children for about 20 minutes before calling the authorities. When the police came they found Timothy in their apartment playing Atlantis on his computer. His wife was on a business trip at that time.

2. A Man Sued a Video Game Maker

51-year-old Craig Smallwood sued South Korean video game firm NCSoft Corp. He got so addicted that he was unable to bathe, dress himself, communicate with others or even wake-up during the day. So he decided that he wanted compensation for the 5 years of life he’d lost playing the game between 2004 and 2009. Some of the charges like misrepresentation, deceit, infliction of emotional distress have been dismisses but charges like defamation, negligence and infliction of emotional distress are still pending.

3. A Mother Called the Cops to Stop Her Son Playing any More GTA

Here we have a woman that obviously had no other way out but to call the police on her son. A 14-year-old boy just wouldn’t go to sleep so she decided to take the matter into her own hands. She called the cops and surprisingly they came and made the boy turn off the ‘Grand Theft Auto‘, a video game he was so caught up in.

4. A Gamer Beat Up His Girlfriend for Standing in front of the TV

It gets even better from here. Isac Benjamin Pettinger 21 was playing a video game when his girlfriend decided she wanted some attention. When she blocked the TV he got so enraged that he started beating her. He was arrested and she demanded a no-contact order against him.

5. The man who shipped himself across country playing MMO

Most addictive gamers let the life go past them, but not this guy. Jordan Wayne Long decided that he wanted to travel the world so he shipped himself in a box while playing Lord of the Rings Online. His friend was to transport him in his truck and this adventure should have ended on the July 7 at a Portland art gallery.

6. Row Over a Computer Game

Xiao Wei, 16 ended up with a 10 inch knife in his skull. He was attacked when a local gang tried to force him to load unauthorized software onto an internet cafe’s computers. Luckily it seems that Wei will make a full recovery.
