Amazing Portraits Made by Hand Crochet - Scottish artist Jo Hamilton is doing some amazing things with her hands and balls of yarn. These amazing portraits were made by hand using traditional crochet techniques that Hamilton learned from her grandmother. These pieces are all created from the inside out – that’s right, the eyes start off every portrait and then Hamilton works outward, row by row, using a photography as reference but without the aid of any computer technology or sketches. Getting it right on the first try doesn’t always happen, but that’s ok with Hamilton who loves her work and is happy to unravel and rework a piece until it is *just* right.
