The newest attraction coming to the Chicago-area Six Flags Great America is aiming to top not just one, but three, world records.
According to the Gurnee, Ill. amusement park, Goliath, set to debut in the spring of 2014, will not only be the world’s fastest wooden roller coaster by boasting speeds of up to 72 mph, but will also feature the tallest drop on a wooden coaster (180 feet) and the steepest drop of any coaster, wooden or otherwise (85 degrees).
Some more facts about Goliath: The coaster will feature three over-banked turns, a 180-degree zero-gravity roll, an inverted drop and an inverted zero-gravity stall.
Construction begins on the coaster in the fall.
