Another fabulous example of something old made into something new, and in this case, something comfy, too. Artist and furniture designer, Dave Hall and business partner Donovan Fell of MotoArt have been working hard to provide consumers with unique bed designs made out of scraps of old airplanes and jets. Fit for an eclectic interior, these beds made out of various parts are truly unique.
Consider the 747 Jet Liner Bed made out of an authentic 747 engine nacelle cowling as the headboard.Remember the 60′s when round beds were cool? Well, maybe they can be once again. MotoArt provides the circular mattress, thank goodness for you.
And then there’s the C-124 Cargo Bed made from two authentic cargo floors and can be custom cut to accommodate the bed size of your choice. Oh, and those hooks that used to keep military equipment in place can be used to secure whatever precious cargo you deem fit. We won’t tell.
The DC-10 Cowling Bed once served as a 380 passenger McDonnell Douglas DC-10, but now it’s a freaky round bed (mattress included) with port holes and illuminated interior.
Finally, the Mile High bed lets you be a part of a Mile High club, without having to go to the airport. The bed is made out of two DC-9 rear stabilizers and a C-130 inner flap. It is a custom-sized bed, larger than your average king, and has internal LED lighting to add to the s*xy bedroom ambiance. MotoArt makes other furniture items, but the beds caught our eye for obvious reasons.
